To send email from your own address—and to keep it out of spam folders—your organization verifies a sending domain on the Sending domains page. This underpins every campaign, receipt, and thank-you.
Adding and verifying a domain
Add the domain
Choose Add Domain and enter the domain you send from (e.g., yourorg.org).
Add the DNS records
Advocora gives you DNS records to add at your domain registrar—DKIM, return-path, and DMARC.
Verify
Choose Verify. Once the records are found, the domain becomes Active and the DKIM / Return / DMARC checks show green.
The domains table
Each domain shows its status (unverified, pending, or active), the from email, and the state of its three DNS checks. Choose Set Default to make one the default sender, and use the settings icon to adjust a domain.
DNS changes can take a little while to propagate. If verification doesn’t pass immediately, give it some time and choose Verify again.
Getting all three checks (DKIM, return-path, DMARC) green is the single biggest thing you can do for deliverability. It’s worth getting right before a big send.
