Donation forms accept contributions through your organization’s connected payment account. Open Admin Settings → Donation forms, then create a form or open an existing one.

Before you begin

You need donation-form management permission, a charges-enabled payment account, and a one-time receipt template. Recurring giving also requires a recurring receipt template. Prepare receipt content under Email Templates.

Configure the form

  1. Under Basics, enter the Form name, choose the Connect account, and leave Status as Draft while preparing it.
  2. Under Amounts, enter suggested dollar amounts separated by commas, such as 25, 50, 100, 250. Set the default, minimum, and maximum amounts. Enable Allow custom amount if donors may choose their own amount.
  3. Under Recurring, choose whether to enable recurring donations and select the intervals to offer.
  4. Choose whether to show fee coverage and employer/occupation fields. Supply your organization’s approved disclaimer or paid-for-by wording where applicable.
  5. Review wallet-payment options. Availability to a donor also depends on their device/browser and the payment setup.
  6. Set branding, logo, background, page heading, supporting text, and thank-you message. Review both hosted-page and embed appearance.
  7. Under Routing, choose the gift designation, gift account, and optional project. A gift account categorizes the gift in Advocora; the Connect account processes the payment.
  8. If using sub-projects, either pin the form to one sub-project or allow the donor to choose. Review the available choices and the donor-facing label.
  9. Select the required receipt templates. Configure allowed website origins if embedding, then save.

Publish and check

Set Status to Published and save. Copy the form’s public link or embed code. Open the public page while signed out and verify the amounts, frequency choices, wording, branding, and receipt setup. An online payment is not the same as manually recording a gift. Do not enter a second gift merely because a completed donation has not appeared in the contact record yet; check the payment and matching process first.
