Every donor with a recurring gift can manage it themselves through a secure, private link—titled Manage your recurring contribution. This cuts down on support requests and gives donors control.

What donors can do

Change the amount

The new amount applies to their next charge.

Replace the card

Update the payment method securely through Stripe.

Cancel

End at the close of the current billing period, or immediately.

See what's next

View their amount, frequency, next charge date, and card on file.
The portal opens from a private link unique to that donor—typically included in their receipt or a management email. No password is needed; the link itself is the key.
The link can expire or be revoked for security. If a donor sees “This link has expired or been revoked,” send them a fresh one. After several failed attempts the page pauses briefly before it can be tried again.

What the donor sees after a change

  • Amount updated — “The next charge will use the new amount.”
  • Canceled at period end — the gift keeps going until the current period ends, then stops.
  • Canceled immediately — the gift ends right away with no further charges.
Changes a donor makes here flow straight into the Recurring tab on your Gifts page, so your records stay current automatically.
